Photographers from across the state, young and old, entered more than 1,650 images that eloquently captured our theme, “A Tennessee Summer.” The images show that summer is all about being outside, exploring Tennessee from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Caney Fork River to our own family farms and backyards.
The staff of The Tennessee Magazine enjoyed judging all the photographs from our Junior, Professional and Adult Shutterbugs. “Judging the contest took me back to my school days when we used to bring in photographs for show and tell of our summer vacations,” says Editor Robin Conover. “I really enjoyed seeing the quality and variety of what our shutterbugs photographed this summer.”
Thank you to everyone who submitted photographs. Be sure to check out the additional images recognized as finalists in this web exclusive.
