April and May are included in the Tennessee Valley Authority’s spring transition rate structure. During these months, per-kilowatt-hour charges decrease in relationship to the summer and winter months.
TVA’s cost to produce electricity decreases as demand during the moderate-temperature months reduces typical use and requires less peak production of power. DREMC passes on these wholesale rate fluctuations, both up and down, to our consumer-members.
