For more than 40 years, Jerry Kirk, a native of Whitesburg in East Tennessee, edited statewide membership publications that went to members of farm supply and electric cooperatives across Tennessee. He’s the retired manager of the Communications Department at Tennessee Farmers Cooperative in LaVergne, where he was editor of the Tennessee Cooperator. For a couple of years in the mid-1980s, he was also editor of The Tennessee Magazine. Jerry, a native of Whitesburg in East Tennessee, is married to the former Jane Downing of Pikeville.
