Congratulations to Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation board member Marilyn Means for completing the Credentialed Cooperative Director Program through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Riley Simmons, joined here by STEMC President Kevin Murphy, is the winner of a 2020 TVA Power Play Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is offered to high school seniors who are dependents of local power company employees. The young adults who receive these scholarships will become tomorrow’s guiding lights by investing their time and talents in community development, personal growth and team accomplishments. Riley is the daughter of Scott and Sarah Simmons of Brownsville and plans to continue her education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
