As they gear up for the upcoming FRAMILY 5K hosted by Friends of Mill Ridge Park on Saturday, November 9, 2024, they are thrilled to announce the Mill Ridge Park Move Club! This inclusive group is designed for all levels — walkers, joggers and runners alike — providing a wonderful opportunity to explore the scenic grassland loop trail that winds through the beautiful Mill Ridge Park meadows, hilltops, treelines, cedar glades and serene ponds and streams. Whether you plan to participate in the 5K or simply want to enjoy the outdoors, they encourage you to gather with them in cultivating fellowship and community.

Their meet-ups will take place every Thursday evening and Saturday morning in October and November, leading up to FRAMILY 5K Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toed athletic shoes suitable for uneven terrain. Families are welcome, and little ones as well as leashed pets can join in the fun! After their walks, enjoy refreshments including hot chocolate, coffee, teas and breakfast goods at the picnic tables while they share good conversation and kick start the day together. A portable toilet will be available on-site for convenience.

Entrance/Location: They’ll gather at 12965 Old Hickory Boulevard, Antioch, TN 37013, marked with flags and signage at the driveway entrance. Please park in the grass along the gravel driveway. Be sure to check the website for weather updates and contact them for any accessibility needs. Sunscreen, bug spray and hand sanitizer will be provided.
