Rock the Ridge

Rock the Ridge is a grassroots movement to raise awareness of the rich environment that is Walden’s Ridge and bring together conservation exhibitors to raise awareness to preserve our environment. The first annual festival will be on Saturday, September 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walden’s Ridge Civic League, 2501 Fairmount Pike, Walden, TN. The activities include conservation exhibitors, six native plant vendors, four lectures, children’s entertainment, music and food trucks. Admission to the event is free. Exhibitors for the event include Land Trust for TN, TN Nature Conservancy, Bee City, Sierra Club, TN Invasive Plant Council, Wild Ones: Native Plants and Natural Landscapes, Master Gardeners of Hamilton Co., Rewilding Collective, Wild Violet Permaculture, TUFC, TDEC, North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy, Hiking, healing and the outdoors, Scenic City Arborists, Ivy Academy, Southeast Cave Conservancy, and Tristate Bluebird Society. Native plant vendors include The Azalea Farm, Naturescapes, Carolina Wild, Thomas Nursery and Reflection Riding. The day will also have a silent auction, 4 lectures by experts in their field, children’s corner, live music and food trucks. Join the event to enjoy and learn about the environment they live in.
