Summer Series #1: Stonefire Band and Just Chuck

Thu., June 6, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

$10

Heritage Hall’s Summer Series, featuring local talent, returns to Heritage Hall Theatre in 2024!  Their Summer Series #1 event for 2024 will feature the Stone Fire Band and Just Chuck.

STONEFIRE BAND

The Stonefire Band brings traditional country, today’s country, and classic rock music to the stage with its four-piece ensemble of talented local musicians Jason Gordon on drums, lead guitarist Alann Barrentine, lead vocalist Mandy Leigh, and bassist Steve Little.

Each band member comes from a different background:

Mandy knew that she wanted to play and sing for people since she was in high school. She has performed in many musicals throughout the Tri-Cities area.

Jason fell in love with the drums while in the high school band.  He has gone on to play in several different bands in the Tri-Cities region.

Alan has been a professional musician his entire adult life.  He played in several different house bands in clubs in Reno, NV before moving to Johnson County. He also teaches guitar and music theory.

Steve played in bands back in the ’60s but gave up music until he retired from the U.S. Army and the Post Office.  Steve has played in a few different bands in the area since 2020.

JUST CHUCK

Charles Skarsaune, AKA Just Chuck, has played guitar since he was a teenager in college and started playing in bands soon after.  Over time, he realized that if he did all the singing and the guitar playing, he wouldn’t have to deal with the cat herding necessary to keep a band together.  Hence, “Just Chuck”.

Raised a wanderer – North Dakota, South America, Michigan, Georgia, Kentucky and now Tennessee – he and his wife Jen put down roots ten years ago, buying a small farm in Johnson County after visiting the mountains for decades.  He got his wandering genes from his father, who moved to America from Norway as a teenager.

From his parent’s record collections, a steady diet of live concerts, and the Columbia House Record (10 albums for a penny), a music fan his whole life, he covers genres from rock to country to Motown to folk to bluegrass…..whatever he can carry off with one voice and one guitar.

Performing for people is the payoff – the most fun is when you can get people smiling, dancing, and singing along.

Combined, these two acts promise an evening of fun entertainment for their audience attending Summer Series #1!
