Displaying your address numbers saves time and possibly lives
Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation is teaming up with emergency services and other power providers in Madison County to help make the community aware of the importance of displaying address numbers.
In an emergency, seconds count. Valuable time is wasted when first responders cannot find your home or business. Help first responders find you. To help identify your home, make sure your address numbers are visible from both directions of the street. Numbers or signs made of reflective material are easier to see at night or during storms.
Please consider your safety and the safety of your loved ones by ensuring that your home can be located. Residents of Madison County can contact the Madison County Fire Department at 731-424-5577 to order a sign for $20. Fire department staff will install it at your home. If you live in another county, check with your local fire department or do an internet search for reflective signage.
